• Download and review all materials from the “AACE Member Presentation Materials Download” page.
• Make a list of potential schools with whom you can partner.
• Send principal letter(s) and/or teacher letter(s) – follow up with school(s).
• Contact your local congressperson and invite him/her to participate.
• Send parent letter to school so they can alert the parents of the upcoming POP presentation.
• Check with the school(s) for classroom accommodations.
• Send media release forms to school(s) if necessary.
• Customize the media material and contact AACE PR Department for media support.
• Follow up with the media for any potential interest.
• Review information on the “POP Teacher Presentation Materials” page to ensure you will be able to explain to the classroom teacher where the materials are located.
• Make a copy of the Pretest, Posttest, and Student Questionnaire for each student. Distribute and collect at the beginning and end of your presentation (respectively).
• Make a copy of the Teacher Questionnaire to distribute and collect.
• Bring presentation, Rx cards, and pedometers or ensure teacher has ordered & downloaded these materials.
• After your presentation, fill out and send project evaluation to AACE Public & Media Relations Department. Also, please send the Student and Teacher Questionnaires to the AACE PR Department. Make sure you leave enough time for filling out and collecting the questionnaires. These may be mailed:
